Reformationtour - A Walking Tour to Famous Churches in Berlin’s Historical Center

2017 the Protestants all over the world celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation that started in 1517 when Martin Luther hammered his 99 theses on the front door of the Palace Church in Wittenberg. For this occasion I want to take you on a special walking tour to several important churches in Berlin’s center. We’ll start at the French Cathedral that was built for the Hugenots, protestant French refugees. Then you will see Berlin’s oldest churches, St. Nikolai and St. Mary. In Berlin’s Cathedral, the main church of Protestantism in Germany, you’ll get a guided tour through the temple and the tomb where the most of the Royal Prussian family members are buried. Finally we’ll see finally the Hedwig’s Cathedral, the first Catholic Church that was built in Berlin after the Reformation.
